TFG supports MD Helicopters for HAI Heli-Expo 2017 Concept aircraft

3/28/2017

The globally popular Helicopter Association International tradeshow for rotocraft is advertised as "Where the global helicopter industry gathers to build professionals, networks, and solutions". It is a broad spectrum annual event targeting aircraft manufacturers, operators, distributors and service organizations, occupying over 1 million square feet of displays and meeting space.

Each year HAI attracts many well known international brands including Bell, Airbus, MD, Rolls-Royce, Robinson, Vertical magazine, and more. This year marked a major milestone for MD Helicopters as they unveiled their new MD6xx concept aircraft, featuring game-changing specifications, including low-SWaP mission management and weapons management systems by Tek Fusion Global.

The MD6xx concept has been designed under CEO Lynn Tilton's guidance to provide all-new capabilities optimized for the demanding multi-role, multi-mission environment, where high performance and low costs are essential requirements. Those same elements are also paramount to TFG's end-user-driven design philosophy, and are likely part of the reasoning behind MD choosing to partner with Tek Fusion for this advanced concept. The MD6xx, and MD902 concept aircraft at HAI demonstrated examples of our high performance, user friendly, Pathfinder (mission management) and ARES (weapons management) systems using a prototype touch screen interface. Both systems have uprades planned in future iterations, including bezel-key integration, and UI/UX enhancements.
